When Avery was younger I got in the habit of announcing to her my every move so she would know what to expect and hopefully not flip out when I left the room. I am still in that habit. Friday night I told her I was going to go to my room to put on something a little nicer before we left for our ward Christmas party. She responded by asking, "Because you're feeling a little meaner?"
Tonight we finally packed away the playpen she's been sleeping in, but instead of sleeping in her big girl bed she begged to sleep on the floor. I said, "Why do you want to sleep on the floor? Isn't it hard down there?" "No," she replied, "it isn't. It's easy down there."
