Avery's Drug Dealers

Avery likes to tell me what she dreamed about when she wakes up. For a while there she was on a streak of dreaming about "all the money in my piggy bank." Last night she dreamed about sugar.

What kid doesn't like sugar? Our town should have been named "Sugar City," instead of the town just north of us, because everyone here has it and likes to give it to Avery whenever she comes calling. No wonder she's always begging to go visit people. Ha! She's gotten so spoiled that now she marches up to people and asks, "What are you going to give me?" Yeah, it's pretty embarrassing for her mother.

If candy is Avery's drug, then these are her three main drug dealers: (I so wish that these were mug shots ;)

First, Grandpa and Grandma Rowan, our next-door neighbors. These guys make special trips to the candy aisle in Winco just to stalk up on suckers for Avery. Grandpa Rowan, being the generous guy that he is, goes big with Tootsie Pops, while Grandma, thankfully thinking of Avery's teeth, gets her the smaller varieties.

Next is Brother Ker, our home teacher. He found out that Avery liked gummy bears when she had some once in Sacrament Meeting. Pretty much every gummy bear she's eaten since then (and there have been MANY) has been supplied by him. He brings her another bag of them every month when he comes home teaching and even gave her a 6 lb. bag of them for Christmas! Daddy had to step in and help her eat them that time.

Finally, Brother Chadwick, a guy in our ward who heard Avery jabbering in the halls at church one time and gave her a package of fruit snacks, most likely to shut her up ;) He's given her fruit snacks every Sunday since then, and you better believe she hunts him down.

These people are all such SWEEThearts, but I tell you what, our dentist is gonna be after them cause Avery's teeth don't stand a chance! ;)
