Social Distancing in Settlement Canyon

With the corona virus pandemic in full swing, we've been instructed to practice social distancing. Basically, we're supposed to stay home and not mingle with anyone outside our immediate family. If we have to go out in public we're supposed to stay six feet away from other people. Pretty much everything social is off limits, but time spent in the mountains should still be fair game, right?

Monday I took the kids to Settlement Canyon. They spent hours running wild. The fisherman on the other side of the reservoir kept hollering over to tell me that my kids were on the top of the mountain and directing me how to find them. Haha!

June and Ross went treasure hunting and came back with their pockets brimming. Their best finds were the elastic band from a man's underwear that June had wrapped around her arm like a bracelet. (I've never seen her move so fast to take something off as she did after I told her what it was.) And Ross brought back a bunch of bottle caps that he thought I could use for canning. LOL

Nice gesture, but I'm pretty sure these are past their prime, buddy.

The best treasures are these kids. There’s never a dull moment.
