Pray-er

As much as Avery rejects the opportunity to pray publicly, Bryce volunteers for it.

He used to use the “Prayer Wheel” to pick someone to help him. He would raise his arm and whoever was closest to him would poke him in the armpit to start his arm-dial spinning around. When it landed, whoever it pointed at got to help him say the prayer.

These days he just asks for us to start it. I say, “Dear…” and then he’s off!

“Hemeny Fodder, pwease hewp…” and he goes on and on and on. We have to remind him to squeeze a few “thank yous” in there, too.

He prays for everyone and everything. Even the Grinch:“Pwease hewp da gwinch to be dood,” he prayed. Hehehe.

If there’s one thing he asks for himself, it’s to be made strong. While the muscles on his little bod might require more effort on his part, all this flexing of his prayer muscles is making him strong in spirit!
