Amen Already!

Sunday in Sacrament Meeting our first speaker was a returned missionary from another ward who had no concept of time. She spoke for 45-50 minutes, five of those being after the bishop stood up and told her to sit down. The high councilman who had also been assigned to speak got off the hook. The music people doing the closing hymn got off the hook. The only people who didn't get off the hook were those in her captive audience, us! At one point Avery said in her not-so-quite voice, "Amen! Amen! Say, 'Amen!'" We couldn't help but snicker. Then we found out the speaker's family was sitting right in front of us. Oops!
